This platform offers a 24/7 emergency hotline for crypto users affected by hacks or other security incidents. It also provides legal protection for white hat hackers who are rescuing funds from active exploits. Additionally, web3 developers can benefit from free red team exercises to simulate cyber attacks and identify vulnerabilities in their systems.
The Nomad Hack and the Birth of SEAL Org
According to Samczsun, the creation of SEAL Org was inspired by the Nomad hack, which saw a $190 million exploit involving multiple bad actors in August 2022. The incident prompted the security community to reflect on why random individuals felt comfortable stealing funds while white hat hackers hesitated to intervene.
