Paradigm co-founder Matt Huang expressed his curiosity about artificial intelligence (AI) and highlighted that the venture capital firm is more dedicated to crypto than ever. Huang’s comments came after reports that Paradigm was expanding its focus beyond blockchain to encompass other “frontier tech” like AI. Huang dismissed the idea that crypto and AI are in competition, stating that both are interesting and will likely have overlapping areas. Many participants in the crypto industry are already integrating AI into their products, such as the natural language processor ChatGPT and the AI-based tool introduced by Ethereum blockchain explorer Etherscan. The Solana Foundation has also implemented an AI chatbot to enhance user understanding of Solana’s technical aspects. Outlier Venture founder and CEO Jamie Burke has stated that AI has always been integral to their vision for web3 since 2018.
