Following his removal from AI firm OpenAI, Microsoft has appointed Sam Altman as the head of an “advanced AI research team.” This move comes as CEO Satya Nadella announced the news through a tweet, stating that Altman would be joining the in-house team alongside OpenAI co-founder Greg Brockman and other “colleagues.” Altman responded to the announcement with a tweet, indicating that the mission will continue, to which Nadella expressed his excitement over Altman joining the team.
