Hedera Council Partners with Mondelēz International to Develop Blockchain Solutions
The Hedera Council has announced a new partnership with food giant Mondelēz International, known for popular brands such as Toblerone, Cadbury, and Oreo. As the governing body for the Hedera public network, the council will collaborate with Mondelēz in developing distributed ledger technology solutions for internal use. The Hedera network is currently governed by industry leaders such as Dell, IBM, Google, Deutsch Telekom, and Ubisoft.
Continuous Commitment to Blockchain Solutions
Prior to this partnership, Mondelēz had started collaborating with SKUx, a fintech payment platform tasked with building alternative payment solutions. SKUx has been partnered with Hedera for several years now. The announcement of the agreement between Mondelēz and the Hedera council may be a result of these collaborations. The Hedera project focuses on networking and strengthening relationships between companies worldwide.
According to Bill Miller, co-chair of the Membership Committee for the Hedera Council, this partnership aims to strengthen business ties and consumer trust in Mondelēz as one of the largest snack producers globally.
Upgrading Logistical Capabilities
The partnership between Hedera and Mondelēz will involve developing tools for supply chain management, digital transformation initiatives, and more. Xiang Xu, Leader of Digital Strategy and BlockChain at Mondelēz International, expressed excitement about the collaboration and hopes that it will solve longstanding production challenges in the retail industry.
Given Hedera’s prior experience, it is expected that Mondelēz will benefit from robust yet innovative solutions in the agreed-upon areas.
