By simplifying the process of launching new NEAR validators through Alibaba Cloud’s infrastructure, the partnership aims to attract more developers to build on the NEAR protocol. The NEAR Foundation and Alibaba Cloud will offer Remote Procedure Calls (RPC) as a service to developers and users in the NEAR ecosystem, providing a data-query API that simplifies searching data across multiple blockchains. App developers working on the NEAR Blockchain Operating System (BOS) can leverage Alibaba Cloud’s infrastructure, including its FastAuth feature that eliminates the need for crypto. NEAR’s market price saw a surge following the partnership announcement, and both entities plan to expand their collaboration through participation in global Web3 conferences and events. This partnership comes after Alibaba appointed Joseph Tsai as Chairman, known for his investments in the Web3 sector.
