Gemini Appoints New Head of Operations for Indian Market
Gemini, a cryptocurrency exchange, has announced the appointment of Sachin Ranglani as the head of operations for the Indian market. Ranglani, who joined Gemini in September as Vice President and India Head, brings extensive experience from his previous roles at companies like Paytm, Uber, and Amazon.
Expansion Plans in India
Gemini plans to establish its engineering center in Gurgaon, near Delhi. The center will handle various tasks including compliance, warehousing, security, and payments. Currently, the Gurgaon office has 70 employees and aims to expand to 100 by year-end. Additionally, Gemini intends to hire technical product managers, people operations and talent acquisition staff, finance professionals, engineers, and lawyers to further strengthen its workforce in India.

Gemini expressed its admiration for India’s tradition of engineering excellence and sees the country as a hub for top-notch technology talent. The Gurgaon office will become Gemini’s second-largest engineering hub after its main hub in the United States.
