Open Beta Testnet and Community Incentives for Participation Unveiled by OverProtocol

OverProtocol Announces Open Beta Testnet and Community Incentives for Participation

A layer one blockchain project called OverProtocol has revealed its plans for the upcoming year, which include the launch of its mainnet in the first half. After successfully completing a closed beta testnet with 15,000 applicants from 127 countries, OverProtocol has now announced an open beta testnet and an incentive program that is open to everyone.

Community-Focused Launching Plan

To build a strong community, OverProtocol will initiate an airdrop through the OverProtocol Community Airdrop Program (OCAP). The airdrop is divided into two quests. The first quest, already active on OverWallet, has attracted significant participation with over 4.7 million users joining in the past six months. The second quest invites users to engage with OverProtocol by running validators via OverNode on the Open Beta Testnet.

Open Beta Testnet (OBT)

The OBT is divided into two seasons: OBT season one runs from December 13 to 22, 2023, and OBT season two is scheduled for February of next year. During the testnet, participants can experience home staking by running a node and validator at home through OverNode and learn about Ethanos, a key feature of OverProtocol. The total scores accumulated from both seasons will determine the airdrop amount.

Instructions for OBT Season One

To participate in OBT season one, you need to download the OverNode client and complete the missions provided within the client. Additionally, you should follow the official OverNode channel on X to stay updated with announcements and access OverNode from the official website starting December 13, 2023.

Vision of OverProtocol

OverProtocol is a layer one blockchain based on a protocol called ‘Ethanos’ that only considers active accounts valid. Superblock, a core contributor to the project, is developing ‘OverNode,’ a full-node client that allows anyone to run a full node of OverProtocol and become a validator on their home PCs. The CEO of Superblock, Ben, highlights that running a validator enables individuals to earn OVER through ‘home staking’ and opens up new payment options and financial opportunities.

About OverProtocol

OverProtocol is a layer one blockchain network that aims to foster a decentralized ecosystem by allowing anyone to serve as a validator. It leverages ‘Ethanos’ technology to empower individuals to operate full nodes from their home desktops. The project’s vision is to decentralize the internet and put its power in the hands of users.
