The Crypto Community Comes Together to Support Israelis Affected by Hamas Attacks
The group Crypto Aid Israel, composed of prominent members of the Israeli crypto community and organizations such as 42Studio and MarketAcross, is actively working towards providing assistance to Israelis impacted by recent Hamas attacks.
Showing their solidarity, the Web3 and crypto communities have donated over $185,000 (about 700,000 NIS) to this community-backed initiative. Not only that, but more than 30 businesses, including accounting powerhouse KPMG, are supporting the cause through distribution and fundraising efforts. Companies like Zengo, Fuse, Wonderland, Psagot Equity, and others are also making significant contributions to the campaign either financially or through public relations.
Crypto Aid Israel has announced the completion of two rounds of assistance disbursement to various frontline groups. These funds totaling 200,000 NIS will make a significant impact in helping individuals in need.

- Foundation for Advancing Citizens of Eshkol Regional Council: This NGO provides important services and goods to southern communities in Israel. The funding supports transportation and lodging for individuals living near Gaza who are not officially recognized by Israel.
- Zaka: Zaka is an Israeli volunteer NGO that offers search and rescue, disaster response, and emergency medical assistance. The funding provided by Crypto Aid Israel helps secure critical medical equipment and ceramic vests for Zaka’s volunteers operating on the front lines.
- Latet: Latet is an Israeli NGO that fights poverty and provides food security and social support to impoverished areas.
“We believe that while modest initially, the crypto channel is an important, speedy, and innovative one and will enable new contributors to join our global ecosystem and support Israel in such an important hour,” added Eyal Gura, Crypto and New Digital Initiatives advisor to Latet’s board.
Tim Freed, a senior leader within Crypto Aid Israel, expressed deep gratitude for the support received from the global crypto community. Two rounds of aid distribution have been successfully completed, demonstrating how crypto can be a force for good in times of crisis.
