A revolutionary decentralized fundraising platform launches on Polkadot
Polimec, a decentralized and community-driven funding protocol, has officially debuted on Polkadot, aiming to revolutionize how Web3 projects raise capital and issue tokens.
Community-Driven Fundraising in the Web3 Space
Polimec signifies a significant leap forward in Web3 fundraising engagement, empowering community members to evaluate and back innovative projects that shape the future of decentralized initiatives worldwide.
- The platform offers web3 projects based on the Polkadot ecosystem an avenue to attain their funding targets, enhancing their ability to develop groundbreaking blockchain solutions and drive real-world problem-solving.
The core principle of decentralization for Web3 remains integral to Polimec, alongside its commitment to regulatory compliance. To partake in the platform, users must acquire a Deloitte KYC Credential, providing access to funding information, project assessments, and the opportunity to join funding rounds.
Flexible Funding Rounds and Governance
Projects can execute single or multiple funding rounds on the protocol, offering flexibility to both project teams and investors. Governance on Polimec is overseen by PLMC token holders, an on-chain council, and a technical committee, with any PLMC holder eligible to propose ideas that undergo token-holder voting upon receiving sufficient support.
- The platform oversees fundraising activities and manages the issuance, distribution, and conversion of tokens to the mainnet, enhancing value creation for Web3 projects and fostering the participation of a diverse range of stakeholders in funding rounds.
Unveiling the Evaluation Round
The Evaluation Round duration spans 28 days, where evaluators carry out in-depth due diligence on projects, scrutinizing whitepapers, team composition, tokenomics, and more.
- Participants must secure their PLMC tokens to express support for a project. If 10% of the targeted funding amount is bonded, the project progresses to the Funding Round. Once bonded, PLMC tokens remain locked until the funding round concludes or is canceled.
- Evaluators receive incentives for successful project evaluations, while inadequate evaluations may lead to token deductions, promoting comprehensive and honest assessments.
Introduction of Initial Projects
Apillon, an infrastructure solution tailored for Web3 developers, serves as the inaugural project highlighted on Polimec. Upcoming projects lined up for fundraising on the platform comprise Mandala Chain, Gotem, and ImpactScope.
