Binance has made an announcement regarding its support for the upcoming Polygon (MATIC) token swap to Polygon (POL). This transition will involve delisting existing MATIC spot trading pairs and introducing new POL trading pairs on the platform.

Key Dates and Changes

On September 10, 2024, at 03:00 UTC, all MATIC spot trading pairs will be delisted, including MATIC/BNB, MATIC/BRL, MATIC/BTC, MATIC/ETH, MATIC/EUR, MATIC/FDUSD, MATIC/JPY, MATIC/TRY, MATIC/USDC, and MATIC/USDT.
Trading for new POL pairs will commence on September 13, 2024, at 10:00 UTC.
Users are advised to cancel any pending MATIC spot trading orders before the delisting date.

Deposits and Withdrawals

Starting from September 10, 2024, at 03:30 UTC, deposits and withdrawals of MATIC tokens will be temporarily suspended. Binance will provide updates on when POL tokens can be deposited and withdrawn after the swap process is complete. Post-swap, withdrawals of MATIC tokens will no longer be supported.

Futures and Margin Trading

Important changes are also coming to Binance Futures and Margin Trading services:

All positions on MATICUSDT and MATICUSDC USDⓈ-M Perpetual Contracts will be automatically settled on September 4, 2024, at 09:00 UTC.
The MATICUSD COIN-M Perpetual Contract will also be settled and delisted on the same day at 09:30 UTC.
Margin trading for MATIC will be delisted from both Cross and Isolated Margin on September 5, 2024, at 11:00 UTC.

Loans and Simple Earn

Changes to Binance Loans and Simple Earn services related to MATIC include:

All outstanding loan positions for MATIC will be closed on September 4, 2024.
Support for MATIC Flexible and Locked Products in Simple Earn will cease on September 9, 2024, at 03:00 UTC, with automatic redemption taking place. Users can subscribe to POL assets starting September 13, 2024.
