Report: Su Zhu's $36 Million Mansion Transformed into Eco-Farm After 3AC Collapse

Crypto Fugitive’s $36 Million Singapore Property Converted into Eco-Farm

A luxury real estate property in Singapore belonging to crypto businessman and fugitive Su Zhu has been transformed into an eco-farm. The property, located in the upscale Yarwood Avenue, has been rebranded as “Yarwood Homestead” and is now operated by Abundant Cities, a company co-founded by Zhu’s wife, Evelyn Tao.

The mansion’s gardens have been converted into a mini farmland, producing vegetables, herbs, fruits, fish, and poultry. The front lawn of the bungalow has been turned into 36 vegetable gardens growing various crops. The swimming pool has been transformed into a natural pond with aquatic plants and fish. The farm also hosts private gatherings.

Background: Three Arrows Capital Collapse

Zhu and his spouse purchased the property in March 2022 for $36 million, just before the collapse of their Singaporean hedge fund, Three Arrows Capital (3AC). At its peak, 3AC managed over $10 billion in digital assets. However, the firm filed for bankruptcy in July 2022 due to failed leveraged bets on the Terra Luna ecosystem.

Kyle Davies, the co-founder of 3AC and a former U.S. citizen who is now a Singaporean national, was sentenced to four months in prison. However, his whereabouts are currently unknown.

Hot Take: Crypto Fugitive Embraces Sustainable Living

Su Zhu’s decision to convert his luxury property into an eco-farm reflects a shift towards sustainable living within the crypto community. Despite his involvement in the collapse of Three Arrows Capital and facing substantial creditor claims, Zhu’s venture into ecological design and agroecology showcases a commitment to environmental consciousness. By repurposing his property to grow organic produce and create a natural ecosystem, Zhu is promoting a greener and more self-sufficient lifestyle.
