The architecture focuses on a “glue-and-coprocessor” framework, which marries a versatile zkVM with specialized circuits that deliver high performance. Rather than depending solely on precompiled functions, Pico provides dedicated circuits that allow developers to infuse custom coprocessors or precompiles designed specifically for their needs.
Consequently, the system has achieved a staggering 35-fold increase in the processing speed of historical blockchain data, marking a significant advancement in the efficiency of off-chain computation.
