Ripple Joins Forces with SpaceX Partner for XRP Donations
Ripple, the payments company behind XRP, has partnered with Jared Isaacman, Elon Musk’s SpaceX colleague, in an unexpected move. Isaacman, the billionaire founder of Shift 4, flew to Earth’s orbit aboard SpaceX’s Crew Dragon capsule in 2021. Ripple has officially announced its collaboration with Isaacman on a donations project.
XRP Added as a Crypto Donations Option
Ripple has joined forces with Isaacman to include XRP as a crypto donations option for the Maui Emergency Response Fund. The Giving Block, a crypto donation solution provider, now offers XRP as a way to donate to charities. Ripple has pledged to match the next $50,000 USD in crypto donations made to the Maui Relief Fund, along with Isaacman, at a 200% rate.
Potential Future Collaborations?
While this partnership does not definitively indicate a close connection between Isaacman and Ripple, it raises curiosity about potential future collaborations. Elon Musk’s tweets about Dogecoin have greatly impacted the crypto market, and both SpaceX and Tesla have incorporated Dogecoin as a payment option on their websites. It remains to be seen if there are further developments between Isaacman and Ripple.
