Canadian startup Tenstorrent has announced a new partnership with Samsung’s chip manufacturing department. The collaboration aims to bring the next generation of AI chiplets to the market. Tenstorrent, which specializes in manufacturing chips and intellectual property for data centers, will utilize Samsung’s SF4X process and 4nm architecture to produce its upcoming chips.
Tenstorrent CEO Jim Keller expressed the company’s goal of developing high-performance compute solutions and delivering them to customers worldwide. This partnership follows Tenstorrent’s recent $100 million funding round, which was led by Samsung and Hyundai. The funds will be used for product development acceleration, AI chiplets, and machine learning software.
