No Bridge Issue, All Is Well, Kusama Says
Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama addressed the reported technical difficulty of the Shibarium bridge to the Ethereum network. He assured the Shibarmy that there was no issue with the bridge and all users’ assets were safe. Kusama dismissed rumors suggesting that the assets stuck on the bridge were irretrievable.
Technical Difficulty Caused by Network Congestion
Kusama admitted that there was a technical difficulty but it was not due to the design of Shibarium. He explained that the issue was caused by network congestion that occurred when the Shibarium mainnet went live. The Shiba Inu team is currently working on scaling the network to accommodate the influx of transactions and users.
Shibarium Achieves Impressive Performance
To support his explanation, Kusama shared data from Alchemy, showing that Shibarium achieved over 160 million compute units within half an hour of its launch. Compute units refer to the computational resources required to execute smart contracts on the blockchain. Kusama stated that if Shibarium maintained this performance, it could rival the most active layer 2 solutions in terms of compute units.
Positive Transfers to Shibarium
Kusama shared some positive news, revealing that over 1000 ETH and 600,000 BONE were transferred to Shibarium within 15 minutes. This demonstrates the confidence and support from the Shibarmy.
Scaling Up Shibarium and Caution Against FUD
Kusama appealed for more time to scale up Shibarium and urged the Shibarmy to ignore any fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD). He also reminded them to only trust information from Shibainu’s official site, shib.io.
