Solutions and Strategies Implemented by Zilliqa Network After Blockchain Upgrade

Zilliqa Blockchain Successfully Upgraded to Version 9.3.0

Zilliqa blockchain recently completed its upgrade to version 9.3.0, with the network successfully producing blocks and processing transactions since the update. Despite some initial challenges, Zilliqa is actively addressing and resolving any issues that arise.

Zilliqa Network Faces Initial Upgrade Issues

The network upgrade resulted in API performance issues, which Zilliqa has already addressed. However, the ZilBridge service is currently experiencing downtime due to a software bug that emerged during the upgrade, affecting the PolyNetwork/Zilliqa interface. Zilliqa will continue to support Switcheo, the maintainer of ZilBridge, as they work on resolving this issue.

Additionally, some exchanges reported integration delays post-upgrade, although most of these issues have been resolved. Zilliqa is providing customized assistance to expedite their return to full operation.

Mining pools have also faced challenges with batch transactions, but Zilliqa has implemented an API update to address these problems.

Concerns about Rewards System and Node Synchronization

Zilliqa acknowledges concerns about the rewards system and assures that it is functioning correctly based on governance approval. However, a review of reward levels will take place in February, with a report published on GitHub.

Node synchronization and startup issues have also been reported by some SSN operators.

ZIL Sees an Upsurge

Following a technical issue that impacted the network in December, Zilliqa has successfully upgraded its network. It currently boasts over 62 million transactions, 4.7 million addresses, and 600 nodes with a block height of over 3.4 million.

The native ZIL token is priced at $0.02276505 at press time, experiencing a 2.7% increase over the past 24 hours and a 9.2% decrease over the last week.

Hot Take: Zilliqa Overcomes Challenges with Latest Network Upgrade

Zilliqa has successfully overcome initial challenges following its network upgrade to version 9.3.0. Despite facing API performance issues, integration delays, and mining pool challenges, Zilliqa has actively addressed and resolved these problems.

The network’s successful transition demonstrates its commitment to providing a seamless blockchain experience. With ongoing support for Switcheo and customized assistance for exchanges, Zilliqa aims to expedite the return to full operation for all stakeholders.
