- The HKMA cautions that banks do not usually send SMS or emails with clickable links for transactions.
- Banks also do not ask for sensitive information like login passwords or OTPs via calls, texts, or emails.
Advisory for the Public 📢
- If you have shared personal info or carried out financial transactions in response to the scam, contact RBC immediately.
- Report the incident to the Hong Kong Police Force’s Crime Wing Information Centre at 2860 5012.
