Fred Ehrsam Steps Down from Managing Partner Role at Paradigm
Fred Ehrsam, co-founder and managing partner of Paradigm, has announced that he will be transitioning to a general partner role in order to focus on other interests. While he will still be involved with Paradigm, Ehrsam’s day-to-day managerial responsibilities will be reduced. He expressed his commitment to continue working with the investing and research teams, as well as portfolio companies, and advocating for positive crypto policy.
Ehrsam also mentioned his desire to explore areas of personal passion in science. Reflecting on his career, he acknowledged his success in co-founding both Coinbase and Paradigm. Despite the transition, Ehrsam remains optimistic about the future of cryptocurrencies and believes they will have a profound impact in the coming decades.
Paradigm’s Stance on US Crypto Rules
Paradigm has been vocal about its disagreement with the US government’s approach to crypto regulations. The investment firm accused the SEC of overreaching its legal boundaries in regulating cryptocurrencies. In an amicus brief submitted for the ongoing lawsuit between the SEC and Bittrex, Paradigm stated that the SEC has acted beyond its statutory authority.
