Taiwan Grants Vitalik Buterin Work Permit and Snacks

During a meeting with Taiwan’s Minister of Digital Affairs, Buterin praised Taiwan’s Ethereum community and received traditional Kuai Kuai snacks. The Gold Card program, launched in 2018, aims to attract skilled professionals to the country. Buterin, born in Russia and raised in Canada, developed Ethereum at the age of 19 and became the world’s youngest crypto billionaire in 2021. In 2022, he also gained citizenship in Montenegro.
