Despite the overall decline, Bored Ape Yacht Club and CryptoPunks still dominated the list of the most expensive NFT sales this year. Four NFTs from each collection made it to the top 10 list, along with one Art Block Fidenza and one Mutant Ape NFT.

This Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT sold for 440 ETH on March 7. It is a rare NFT with trippy fur and a Kings Crown.

CryptoPunk #3307 — 500 ETH

CryptoPunk #3307 stands out among other NFTs for its lack of any rare attributes. It sold for nearly $1 million worth of ETH on August 4.

Mutant Ape Yacht Club #30002 — 500 ETH

This Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFT features a unique “mega zombie” trait and was bought for 500 ETH on September 1.

Bored Ape Yacht Club #4980 — 530 ETH

The most expensive NFT sale of 2023 was CryptoPunk #5066, which sold for $1.4 million. It is a zombie punk with unique attributes like an earring, knitted cap, and smile.
