Donald Trump Launches Bitcoin NFT Collection on Magic Eden
Former U.S. President Donald Trump is entering the world of Bitcoin and NFTs by launching a new collection of NFTs that will be minted on the Bitcoin blockchain using Ordinals inscriptions. The collection, called Trump MugShot, features 200 cards with images of Trump’s mugshot.
Purchase Requirements and Rewards
To purchase the NFTs, you must use Wrapped Ethereum (WETH). The first 200 people who buy 100 Trump NFTs in a single transaction will receive a “one of one” inscription when it is created. Additionally, these buyers will get two VIP tickets to an event hosted by Trump at Mar-a-Lago.
The Ordinals Collection and Previous Ventures
This isn’t Trump’s first venture into digital collectibles. In December, the MugShot Edition launched a collection of 100,000 NFTs on the Polygon network. The former president also sold 1,075 ETH for around $2.4 million at the time. The Collect Trump Card Twitter account clarifies that these NFTs are for entertainment purposes only and not investment vehicles.
