Ubisoft Expands NFT Avatars for The Sandbox
Assassin’s Creed maker Ubisoft is making whole lot of strides in the blockchain world by launching a new set of NFT avatars for the metaverse network game, The Sandbox. These avatars are based on the new Netflix animated series, “Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix.”
A total of 1,866 unique player avatars will be released as NFTs on Polygon, including renditions of classic Ubisoft action hero Rayman, and heroes of the cult classic game Beyond Good & Evil, Jade and Pey’j. The collection has a futuristic, cyberpunk-esque vibe that fits with the show, and the mint is scheduled for November 29. The avatars will be added to The Sandbox, and their pricing is yet to be announced.
Ubisoft’s blockchain moves are extensive, stretching back years and including NFT launches in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, collaborations with gaming platforms, and the release of Rabbids as Reddit NFT avatars.
