Trevor Jones Unveils Newest NFT Collection: CryptoAngels
Renowned artist Trevor Jones recently introduced his latest and most ambitious collection of Ordinals NFTs to date, known as the CryptoAngels. This collection follows his previous success with Bitcoin-themed artworks, particularly the Bitcoin Angel open edition which set records in 2021 by selling 4,158 editions for $3.2 million in just seven minutes. Jones has since cultivated a strong community and brand around his work, with the iconic motif of the Bitcoin Angel at its core, including hosting annual Castle Parties dedicated to art, culture, and charity.

Trevor Jones has officially announced his latest collection, the CryptoAngels, bringing a new dimension to the world of digital art intertwined with blockchain technology. Building on his reputation for creating pieces that pay homage to Bitcoin, Jones kicked off this collection with the Archangels phase, which sold for 87.9 ETH ($335,291) each. These limited collector’s packages included a physical bronze sculpture of the classic Bitcoin Angel, a 3D NFT avatar, and an Archangel Ordinal, all of which were quickly snapped up by eager collectors.

The next phase of the collection, set to launch on August 7, will allow minting of the Ordinals through OrdinalsBot. These 7,777 unique CryptoAngels come with distinct appearances, each personally named by Jones. Initially available through a whitelist, these NFTs are divided into 21 cohorts based on the symbols of constellations on their shields. This division creates sub-communities within the collection, with seven special CryptoAngels 1/1 that are exceptionally rare as they are not aligned with any Archangel.
