Polygon Launches Humanity Protocol on Polygon CDK
Polygon (MATIC) has partnered with game software company Animoca Brands and The Human Institute to introduce a new technology leveraging the current trend of artificial intelligence (AI). Known as the Humanity Protocol on Polygon chain Development Kit (CDK), this initiative aims to establish Proof of Humanity in Web3 applications using palm recognition technology as a less invasive method of identity verification.
The Power of Polygon CDK
Under the guidance of tech entrepreneur Terence Kwok and a council of Founding Humans, including Yat Siu from Animoca Brands and Sandeep Nailwal from Polygon Labs, the Humanity Protocol integrates seamlessly with blockchain technology. It offers a user-centric approach to identity verification through smartphones. The protocol utilizes the power of Polygon CDK and incorporates the Proof of Humanity consensus mechanism, fortified by zero-knowledge cryptographic proofs, to ensure network security and identity validation.
Wide Range of Applications
By integrating native credentials into its network of decentralized validator nodes, the Humanity Protocol aims to achieve true sybil resistance and become a leading player in the blockchain ecosystem. This opens up possibilities for on-chain games, Decentralized Social Media (DeSO), enterprise decentralized finance (DeFi) solutions, Faridrops, Network States, Real World Assets (RWA), and Decentralized Physical Infrastructure (DePIN) systems.
Decentralized Identity and Rewards
The Humanity Protocol offers a user-centric approach that avoids invasive and burdensome Proof-of-Personhood technologies. It aims to create a decentralized and inclusive ecosystem that respects true digital ownership principles. By becoming the world’s first truly Sybil-resistant blockchain ecosystem, it paves the way for various blockchain and real-world applications.
Upcoming Launch of Humanity Protocol Testnet
The Humanity Protocol Testnet will soon be launched, allowing users to join the ecosystem and start earning rewards. As the human layer for Web3, the Humanity Protocol aims to onboard the first billion humans onto the blockchain as Web3 approaches the milestone of one billion wallets created.
Polygon’s MATIC Token Performance
Polygon’s native token, MATIC, recently reached a price milestone of $1 but has since experienced a retracement and is currently trading at $0.952. While there has been a decrease of over 2.3% in the past 24 hours, MATIC has shown significant gains of 11%, 20%, and 21% over longer time frames such as seven, fourteen, and thirty days respectively, indicating a positive trend in its performance.
