Phishing Scammers Target VeChain’s X Account

VeChain’s X account fell victim to phishing scammers following attacks on Rocket Pool, Coingecko, and Polychain Capital’s CEO. The scammers created a fake giveaway on VeChain’s X page, urging users to send up to $15,000 in VET coins to participate. They promised a maximum return of $300,000 in VeChain tokens.

Suspicions Raised and Timely Alert

VeChain representatives quickly noticed the suspicious activities and alerted users through an official Telegram channel. The hacked posts remained on the project’s timeline for at least two hours before being removed.
