During a recent prison raid in Venezuela, authorities not only discovered weapons but also confiscated Bitcoin mining machines. The operation involved 11,000 troops who raided the Tocorón prison in Aragua state. Videos shared on Twitter showed a building filled with the seized mining equipment. Interior and Justice Minister Remigio Ceballos stated that the operation was successful in targeting criminal groups.
The Tocorón prison, which had been controlled by criminals for years, included luxurious facilities like a swimming pool and a mini zoo. Venezuelan prisons are known for their overcrowding and dangerous conditions.
