Vitalik Buterin Believes Artificial Intelligence Could Mitigate Ethereum’s Biggest Technical Risk

Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum (ETH), has expressed his belief that artificial intelligence (AI) could play a significant role in addressing the top smart contract platform’s biggest technical challenge. In a tweet, Buterin stated his excitement about the potential of AI-assisted formal verification of code and bug detection, which could greatly reduce the risk of bugs in Ethereum’s code. Additionally, Buterin expressed enthusiasm for Verkle Trees, a data structure that can enhance Ethereum nodes. These trees are designed to lower the hardware requirements for running an Ethereum node, ultimately improving decentralization and scalability. Despite ongoing updates required for client compatibility, Verkle tree testnets are already operational. At present, ETH is trading at $2,916 with a 1% increase in the past 24 hours.
