Wanchain recently deployed decentralized, non-custodial bridges connecting the Cardano mainnet to 11 other networks, allowing users to access BTC, ETH, USDC, and USDT on Cardano. In an AMA session with Wanchain’s Director of Marketing, Temujin, he discussed the achievements and milestones of Wanchain. These include the launch of XFlows, a decentralized solution for native-to-native cross-chain transactions, and the partnership with Circle for the launch of its Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP). Wanchain has also expanded its cross-chain infrastructure, integrated new chains, and launched the XStake platform.
The AMA also highlighted the journey of launching the Cardano bridges, which required collaboration with IOG. The technical obstacle of getting Cardano to support Schnorr signatures and the Secp256k1 curve was overcome with IOG’s help. Now, users can use ADA on Ethereum and BTC, ETH, USDC, USDT, and WAN on Cardano. Looking ahead, Wanchain plans to integrate with modular blockchains like Polkadot and Cosmos and expand its XFlows products to Ethereum L2s.
In conclusion, Wanchain has achieved significant milestones, including launching XFlows, partnering with Circle, expanding cross-chain infrastructure, and deploying Cardano bridges. The future holds further integration with modular blockchains and expansion into Ethereum L2s. Wanchain is making strides towards seamless interoperability in the blockchain industry.
