A Crypto Whale Acquires $53 Million Worth of Ethereum and Wrapped Bitcoin
A blockchain tracker called Lookonchain has reported that a single crypto whale has purchased almost $53 million worth of Ethereum (ETH) and Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) since December 21st. The whale recently spent $20 million of the stablecoin USDC to buy $10 million worth of ETH and $10 million worth of WBTC.
The whale’s purchases include a total of 13,843 ETH, acquired at an average price of $2,388, and 461 WBTC at an average price of $43,168. WBTC is an ERC-20 token that tracks the price of Bitcoin and operates within the Ethereum ecosystem. At present, WBTC is trading at $43,530, while ETH is trading at $2,411.
Accumulation of Chainlink’s Native Asset
Lookonchain also indicates that another mysterious crypto whale or institution has been accumulating Chainlink’s native asset (LINK). The entity withdrew 2,745,815 LINK worth $49.9 million from Binance via 49 new wallets.
Currently, LINK is trading at $18.47 and has experienced an increase of over 18% in the past seven days and more than 28% in the past month.
