Former Goldman Sachs Executive Predicts Ethereum Will Outperform Bitcoin in 2024
Raoul Pal, former executive at Goldman Sachs and CEO of Real Vision, believes that Ethereum (ETH) will surpass Bitcoin (BTC) in performance by 2024. Pal shared on social media platform X that he expects Ethereum to follow a similar bull market price pattern as it did in 2021.
Pal cites the example of February 2021 when BTC reached $44,000 and ETH was at $1,400. Nine months later, ETH had surged by 245% while BTC only saw a 45% increase. Based on this trend, Pal predicts that ETH outperforming BTC will be a significant macro trend in 2024.
Favorable Macroeconomic Conditions May Boost Ethereum
Pal also anticipates more favorable macroeconomic conditions for risk assets like Ethereum in the coming years. He believes that liquidity and the business cycle will lead to an increase in demand for ETH, leading to its outperformance compared to BTC.
Solana Expected to Outperform Ethereum in 2024
In response to a question about whether ETH will outperform Solana (SOL) in 2024, Pal answered negatively. This suggests that he believes SOL will surpass Ethereum’s performance in the future. SOL is currently trading at 0.0419 ETH ($97.01) and has seen a significant gain of over 871% since the beginning of the year.
