Worldcoin’s Humanitarian Tools: Investing Nearly $4.8 Million in Kenya

Tools for Humanity Invests $4.8 Million in Kenya

Tools for Humanity (TFH), the organization supporting Worldcoin’s ecosystem, has invested almost $4.8 million in Kenya, according to CEO Alex Blania. This funding was allocated to support cryptocurrency and blockchain education initiatives in the country. However, a report from The Star reveals that TFH relied on third parties such as Strathmore University, the Blockchain Association of Kenya, the American Chamber of Commerce, and the Africa Blockchain Centre to carry out these educational activities. Blania further stated that TFH plans to contribute more funds to similar efforts in the future.

Worldcoin’s Activities Suspended by Kenyan Government

A few weeks prior to Blania’s appearance before parliament, the Kenyan government suspended Worldcoin’s operations to evaluate potential risks to public safety. This decision was made after the country’s data regulating agency warned citizens against sharing personal data with Worldcoin.
