Bored Ape Yacht Club Creator Yuga Labs Acquires NFT-Focused Project PROOF
Web3 and non-fungible token (NFT) development company Yuga Labs has announced its acquisition of NFT collective PROOF and its assets.
The acquisition is part of Yuga Labs’ aim to become the “front door of web3.”
Integration of Moonbirds into Otherside Platform
PROOF’s NFTs, which include collections like Moonbirds, Oddities, and Mythics, will be integrated into Yuga’s Otherside platform. Otherside is a gamified, interoperable metaverse currently being developed by Yuga Labs.
Yuga Labs’ CEO and Founder Comment on the Acquisition
Daniel Alegre, CEO of Yuga Labs, expressed excitement about the acquisition, stating that Moonbirds has great potential and aligns well with Otherside. He sees PROOF Collective as an important part of their ongoing art and community engagement efforts.
Kevin Rose, CEO and founder of PROOF, also expressed enthusiasm for the integration of Moonbirds into Otherside. He believes it is the perfect home for their collectors and emphasizes Yuga’s commitment to digital fine art.
