Oracle Employee Accused of Assisting in $54 Million Crypto Laundering Scheme
An Oracle technical, Brian Krewson, is facing allegations from the US Department of Justice (DOJ) for allegedly helping to hide and launder $54 million in cryptocurrency for two convicted drug traffickers. The case has drawn comparisons to the infamous “Breaking Bad” character, Walter White.
While Krewson has not been charged with a federal crime, his association with Christopher Castelluzzo and Luke Atwell, who were sentenced to 21 and 19 years respectively for their narcotics trafficking business, raises concerns about his involvement in illicit activities.

The accused drug traffickers were involved in a profitable narcotics business, selling millions of dollars worth of cocaine monthly. Investigators found that Atwell attempted to conceal his crypto profits from dark web drug sales by purchasing Ethereum initially valued at $9,000 but now worth over $54 million.
Krewson was allegedly promised a share of the cryptocurrency for assisting in its concealment. However, during a raid on his residence, he provided the wallet password to law enforcement, allowing them to transfer all the seized funds to a DOJ wallet.
Court Rejects Appeal
Castelluzzo appealed to a Colorado court to have the seized funds returned, claiming they belonged to him and a company called Broken Wings Holdings. However, the court rejected the appeal, and the DOJ recently announced the seizure of the funds through its New Jersey branch.
Krewson’s Involvement
Despite not being charged with a federal crime, Krewson’s connections to the case have raised suspicions about his involvement in illicit activities. The outcome of the legal proceedings will determine his level of accountability in the alleged crypto money laundering operation.
