Koree Raises $200,000 in Pre-Seed Funding for Marketplace Launch
Cameroonian fintech startup Koree has successfully raised $200,000 in pre-seed funding, led by Tunde Akinnuwa, co-founder of Nigerian payments company Duplo. Other participants in the funding round include the Cameroon Angels Network, Catalytic Africa, and Digital Africa. The funds will be used to expand Koree’s merchant network and grow its customer base.

Koree plans to launch a marketplace that rewards users based on their purchases. Users will earn a percentage of the amount they spend across the Koree app’s 14 categories. The earned money can then be redeemed directly into their mobile money account.
