A New Altcoin Surges After Mainnet Launch
A new altcoin, Dymension (DYM), has experienced a significant surge of over 96% in just three days following the launch of its mainnet. Dymension is a layer-1 blockchain that aims to provide a network for “RollApps,” which are fast modular chains designed for games, DeFi protocols, and NFTs.
The project describes Dymension as a vision to add another dimension to the Interchain by building a modular Internet of rollups. It empowers developers of all levels to connect their own chain to the crypto economy.
Dymension launched its first block and native token, DYM, on Tuesday. Within a short period, DYM has become the 65th-ranked cryptocurrency by market cap and is currently trading at $7.75, up from $3.95 during its launch.
Binance Supports DYM Trading
Following the launch, Binance quickly added support for DYM trading and attached a seed tag to the asset. The seed tag indicates that DYM may exhibit higher volatility compared to other listed tokens due to its lower liquidity. Users who own assets with seed tags on Binance are required to pass quizzes every 90 days to ensure they understand the associated risks before trading the tokens.
