German multinational software company SAP has announced the launch of a new “test drive” for a proposed blockchain-based cross-border payments system. The aim is to speed up and reduce the costs of cross-border payments using digital assets. The current process is often expensive, slow, and non-transparent. SAP is inviting clients to participate in the test drive using test-versions of Circle’s USD Coin (USDC) and Euro Coin (EUROC). However, it is important to note that the test drive does not involve real-world payments, as it operates on a test network rather than the main blockchain. SAP is currently valued at over $163 billion and operates in 130 countries.
