Stocks Hit Fresh 52-Week Highs and Lows on NSE
Several stocks, including Bhartiya Intnl, Shalimar Paints, Datamatics Glob, Precot Meridian, and Emami Realty, reached their fresh 52-week highs during Friday’s trade on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). Meanwhile, stocks such as Blue Jet Healthcare, Raj Rayon, SEL Manufact, Winsome Yarns, and Fourth Dimension Sol hit their fresh 52-week lows.
Nifty50 Index Performance
The benchmark NSE Nifty closed higher at 20267.9 with a gain of 134.75 points. In the Nifty 50 index, top gainers for the day included ITC, NTPC, Axis Bank, L&T, and Britannia. On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp, M&M, Wipro, HDFC Life, and SBI Life ended in the red.
BSE Sensex Closes Higher
The BSE Sensex closed at 67481.19 with a gain of 492.75 points.
Sector-wise Trading Activity
During the day, traders showed interest in Term Lending Institutions, Telecommunications, Tobacco, Media & Entertainment, and Defence sectors. However, selling pressure was witnessed in Agro Processing, Learning & Education, Miscellaneous, Financial Services, and Services sectors.
